Invitation to Membership
Dear Colleagues,
The Georgia Obstetrical & Gynecological Society (GOGS) INVITES YOU TO BECOME AN ACTIVE MEMBER NOW. In 2005, with a strong membership and the aid of our GOGS lobbyist, we were able to achieve a major victory in the passage of Tort Reform legislation. Your support and the support of all OB/Gyns in the state is imperative to protect Tort Reform from anticipated legislative challenges.
The society provides many other services for physicians, including continued medical education, the improvement of maternalinfant health care programs, and two CPT workshops for physicians and staff.
The GOGS officers serve as the administrative arm of the
Georgia Section of ACOG. Section officers serve on the board of
directors of the Society and play an important role in the Society’s
decision making. Our annual meeting provides the opportunity
to obtain CME through a series of lectures featuring nationally
recognized speakers. This meeting is held each year and it also
provides a wonderful opportunity to network and socialize with
other OB/Gyns. This year the meeting will be held at The “newly
renovated” Cloister in Sea Island, Georgia on August 24-27,
2006. It promises to be an informative lecture series in a
spectacular setting.
As Membership Chair, I encourage you to review and complete
the enclosed application and become a member of the society. We
